So the rogers iphone plan details have finally been released and I am a bit disappointed with what they are charging. I had been hearing about a $30 unlimited data plan that should of happened. I really wish there was another provider capable of providing the iphone so we could get some competition with rogers, but since there isnt rogers is able to charge whatever they want. Although it probably wouldn't matter because I am pretty sure the 3g network doesn't even cover Chatham which means I would probably be using wifi mostly. I am planning on getting this plan
$60 Voice/Data Gives you…
150 daytime + Unlimited Evenings/Weekends (I am not a big phone talker so the less minutes is fine.)
400MB data (not too much but probably enough, I will use wifi mostly anyways.)
75 Sent text messages (this is just wrong, you basically have to get an add on for more texting.)
Unlimited incoming text messages
Unlimited Voicemail (Visual voicemail <3)
Voice "value" pack
$20/month: Caller ID, Who Called, Caller Ring Trax, 10,000 Sent Text Messages and 6:00 p.m. Early Evening Calling and 2,500 Call Forwarding Minutes.(obviously the text messaging, why not just make it unlimited?, and the early evening and weekends is the winner for getting this pack.)
Obviously this is not cheap, I am honestly rethinking getting the iphone due to these prices. This plan is probably the most reasonable plan you can get and its almost $100 bucks a month. This doesn't even include unlimited data and has a measly 150 daytime minutes. Rogers is pretty much raping our wallets and taking full advantage of its customers on this one. I still really want one though but I am really reconsidering it and possibly going with a different provider and a different phone. I don't really know, I will see how things go.
I mean, how nice is this?

400mb is basically unlimited. I watch videos on my phone and download music and stuff and never surpass 20mb and I don't even have wi-fi. I still think the plan is bogus. Visual voice mail makes me drool though.
